Initiatives

The Friends of Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area group is committed to protecting and preserving the natural environment. The friends group hosts environmental education programs and initiatives to promote conservation and sustainability. These programs and initiatives include tree planting and invasive species removal. In addition, the park offers volunteer opportunities to help maintain and improve the park’s trails and facilities. By participating in these initiatives, visitors can help ensure the park remains a beautiful and healthy environment for all to enjoy.

Accomplishments

The FOCS have accomplished a great deal since our founding in 2011, including the installation of a playground, a fishing pier, and a boat launch. We have also worked to improve the trails and add new amenities such as benches and interpretive signs. In addition, we have hosted numerous educational programs, including bird watching, fishing clinics, and naturalist walks. We are proud of our accomplishments and continue to work hard to ensure that everyone can enjoy the beauty of Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area.

Upcoming Projects

The Friends of Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area are proud to announce several upcoming projects to improve the park and provide more recreational opportunities for visitors. We are currently working on a new hiking trail that will provide scenic views of the park and its wildlife.

Grants Funding

The Friends of Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area is dedicated to preserving and protecting the natural beauty of this unique state park. We often seek out grant funding to help support the ongoing conservation and management of the Recreation Area's resources while also enhancing outdoor opportunities for the public. Our grant funding is used to restore native habitat, improve access and facilities, and provide educational programs.
